My work on the Business Model You® method began in 1999 when I faced a life-changing decision: should I sell my venture to a much larger NASDAQ-listed company?

For six years I had been helping U.S. and European companies extend or replicate their business models in Asia, and I understood their operations and my own firm’s business model. But the personal impact of selling my venture on me, my family, and my employees and their families was an entirely new consideration. What would come next? I realized that I lacked a personal business model.

I was lucky. The sale of my venture gave me the opportunity to research and study entrepreneurship and business models in depth, and while completing my doctoral thesis on international business model portability, I joined Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur to become one of the five core co-creators of the international bestseller Business Model Generation.

That work led to the formalization of the Business Model You® method and book, which has become an international bestseller published in 20 languages.

Today I lead the worldwide Business Model You® community, which includes registrants listed in this directory, and focus on teaching the methodology to consultants, trainers, and coaches, in both public workshops and private engagements for specific organizations.

Please get in touch if you are interested in training staff to use the Business Model You® methodology.
